Quinta Don Jose Bed and Breakfast, Tlaquepaque

I just can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. I've stayed in many Bed & Breakfasts and many hotels, several in Guadalajara, but this one is the best in all of Guadalajara. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is so friendly and eager to please. If you are not accustomed to Bed & Breakfasts, I recommend the pool suites as they are far enough from the main dining area. We stayed in the master suite right next to the dining area and never heard a thing, but if there had been any screaming kids we might have heard them. I only include this comment because some people are very noise-sensitive. Just 2 blocks from the main plaza of Tlaquepaque and a 15 minutes bus ride (at 4 pesos!!) to downtown Guadalajara, I can't imagine a more convenient place. The free breakfast is delicious and they change up the hot dishes each day (hotcakes, chilequiles, eggs, huevos rancheros, etc). Every day includes hot coffee (made with bottled water), tea, fresh-squeezed OJ (no water added), dry cereals and milk, fresh pastries, and fresh fruits (melons, bananas, etc.) A fantastic way to start the day. I'm not kidding when I say that you could check in here and only leave for lunch and dinner. It's that comfortable and peaceful. A+++
