We arrived in Santorini without a place to stay. My mom had accidentally booked the wrong dates with Evelina, and instead of telling us that we couldn't stay (eventhough she was out of rooms) she let us stay in her house in her daughter's room until a room became available the next day! Our real hotel room was great - perfect air con, tv, washroom was fine, an d ceiling fan. She came in to say goodnite every night and she always gave us pepsi and iced mocha drinks at night. She'd also invite the guests onto her balcony at night to hang out. Her family is wonderful - her husband drives you to the port for really cheap, too. She's right by all the shops and 2 seconds from the beach. She made my 1 month trip in europe. Stay with her - she's the best!!! Terrence, Evelina and Ada Vaughan Review - July 4, 2008 The towns of Phira and Oia are spectacular, but they are perched high on the volcanic cliffs of the truly magnificent island of Santorini. If you want to enjoy the absolutely refreshing, clear and beautiful waters of the Mediteraenean go to Perissa. It's a lovely town with some of the best beaches on the island. A short walk from the beach, close to the bus stop and shops, tavernas, and a most wonderful 24hr bakery is EVELINA PENSION. It has to be the best value in town. It is charming, clean and convenient, close to everythng you might need, and, best of all, the hosts, Capt. Lazaros and his wife, Evelina, are warm, gentle, informative, available and friendly. After a long ferry ride from Piraeus, we were tired and had many questions about this new environment. They had the answers before we could ask. They are a delight! Nothing could have prepared us for this delightful surprize. My wife's name is Evelina. My daughter's internet search of "Santorini", led her to the intriguing name - a Pension for her mother! A check of the very reasonable rates, led us to an early booking. With the Euro/Dollar exchange rate as it is we were looking for a good money for value deal. It turned out to be the best one we found in Greece, and helped make our vacation a simple delight.
