Horrible experience!!
The only reason this gets 1 star is because I had to select something in order to post my opinion. In all actuality it deserves-5 stars. My family and I arrived at "Among the Pines" to a horrible stench, cracker crumbs scattered throughout the cabin, hair in the down stairs bathroom, bugs as well as a dirty ring around the jacuzzi, mildew surrounding the outdoor hot tub, no working smoke detectors, and the list goes on. We arrived at 7pm, so I attempted to contact the office @ 10am the next day (when they supposedly open for the day)...I tried 3 different numbers before I even got an answering machine. So, of course I left a message (@10:45am) stating that some issues needed to be resolve. By 1pm I had not received a call back, so I made other accommodations. Needless to say, I was forced to vacate the premises by 1:45pm due to deplorable conditions. I am not a wealthy woman, and this was my family’s yearly vacation. I am outraged that I spent the first day seeking out better accommodations after being let down so disappointingly by Cabins of Gatlinburg. In all honesty, I can only blame myself for not researching this company before handing over my credit card information and making a reservation. Buyer beware, there is a reason why there are NO USER REVIEWS on any of their websites. My only recourse now is to fill a claim with my credit card company. DO NOT MAKE THIS SAME MISTAKE!!!! Pay a little more and rent from someone else who is confident enough to put reviews on their website.
