Sierra Gateway Cottages, Kernville

We had a great time at the Lakehouse in Sierra Gateway Cottages. From the start management, Carla, was extremely helpful and accommodating. We were a group of girls looking to gateway for a long weekend and have some fun. This house was the perfect location with the market literally at the end of the street, and the local bars and restaurants being within walking distance. We grilled every night and enjoyed the beautiful wraparound porch. The house itself was clean and well equipped with every comfort of home. If you are looking for an ideal location to town and river beaches, with no hassle of packing kitchen supplies and daily comforts, then this is your place. This is truly the best lodging for friends and family. Close enough to town, but far enough to feel secluded.

the heaters didn't work, but they did warn us and provided us with one portable one that worked...I brought my own from home just in case and it worked out great!

Great place to stay while in Kernville! All the amenities you should need in a clean and comfortable place with A/C, full kitchen, private patio, gas bbq, etc... We stayed over Labor Day weekend and even with the extra holiday crowds our cottage was quiet and private but close enough to easily walk around town. Carla who took my reservation was friendly and had the place ready with water and ice even though we arrived much earlier then expected. When we left, I accidently left my phone charger in the room, which she gladly located for me and mailed back promptly. I will defintely stay here again and would recommend it to family & friends.

My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary here in May. It was by far one of the cleanest places we've been to. The young woman that took care of us was very helpful, and had fresh flowers in our room and provided us with excellent service. When she heard it was our anniversary she even had champagne for us. What a wonderful thing to do. We can't wait to come back next year.
