Villa Scorpio al PUente B&B, San Miguel de Allende

Villa Scorpio B&B was such a great find. The location is excellent, it is close enough to everything that you can easily come and go, you don't have to pack up in the morning so that you have everything you need for the whole day. I kept forgetting something in our room but it was no big deal since we were so close by. Our room was so authentic feeling and yet totally comfortable. They have down comforters and nice sheets, hey, it makes a difference! The house itself is gorgeous. It looks a little unappealing from the street, you have to go down a flight of steps to get to the front door, but once you go inside it is this quiet, beautifully decorated mansion. Their roof terrace is truly the best spot in town. During the day we would check out the local bars to find a place for a drink at sunset but we never found anywhere to rival the view from their roof. And, the best thing, they have a hot tub up there and so we'd soak in the hot tub, watching the sunset, listening to church bells watching the lights of all the churches coming on. Most nights we didn't leave for dinner until much later than normal because we were so into hanging out on the roof. The hosts are a nice couple, surprisingly young. They have a little daughter who was playing with some other guest's kid and they were so cute, not at all in the way or annoying. They've also got some very friendly pets. Their cat was our favorite, he'd sit and talk to us on the patio outside our room anytime we stopped to give him attention. All in all, we were very happy we stayed there and highly recommend it.
