Excellent value
By ,
I have visited Chiang Mai many times over the past 10 years and have stayed at most of the bigger hotels at one time or another. On my previous trip I happened on the 'Queen Vic' and had a few beers and a great meal so I decided to try their rooms on my next visit. I just wish I had discovered it earlier! The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable - mine even had a DVD player and they have an extensive library of films to watch. I never had a problem with hot water (a first for me in Chiang Mai) and the service was excellent. The real bonus of staying here is the restaurant / pub which has a great atmosphere and serves huge portions of home cooked food - either Western or Thai. Their breakfast is a feast to behold (I understand it was recently voted the best breakfast in Chiang Mai by a newspaper - I can believe it!). The Sunday lunch is also unbelievable. All in all I really can't fault the Queen Vic and will certainly be saying here on my next visit.

Stay with friends
By ,
We stayed at this hotel as everywhere else was fully book but it turn out to be a blessing in disguise as this hotel turn out to be the best thing in our holiday experience in Chiang Mai. The staff was extra ordinary friendly and the proprietor's wife went out of the way to find us alternate accomadation when we could not find accomodation during the last leg of our tour. The hotel is cozy and great value for money, food is decent and price is reasonable.

I think that small guest houses are always better than big hotels, as you get a better service, and Queen Vic is definately the place to stay, we had a great time.

A little bit of home
By ,
Queen Vic is a very friendly establishment in the old town of Chiang Mai. We had a brilliant time, the food was outstanding, and the rooms were great value. Well worth a look.
