El Dorado Inn, Anaheim

I've been reading through the comments here on this site, and although I agree that the changes were very much needed, they have been made,and the entire property is beautiful. As for bed-bugs, my daughter, her husband, and their 3 month old baby boy live there, and I've been there a few times, slept on their bed, and have found nothing to suggest bed bugs, and believe me, I checked. The maids work 2 at a time, floor to floor, to be sure that their services are rendered in a timely, fast manner, so as not to disturb the occupants for very long. The property has been completely renovated on the outside and the interiors of each room,that I've seen so far, and all the old,non working appliances have been removed,and replaced with new ones. The refrigerators are top notch, and very roomy for families. The a/c in my kids' room, works very well, to the point of near freezing, if it's left unchecked for too long. At night, it's extremely peaceful and serene. There are beautiful palm trees in various parts of the complex, with a large, gated pool, near the front of the property. They have an on-site library,which is free to join, if you're a resident, with proof of room rent. Non Residents are not permitted to use this amenity, and for good reason. The children there, all seem happy and well adjusted, and are not a problem,as for bad behavior. I've always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, always with a ready smile and wave for a greeting. I just wonder if I'll be allowed to bring my small, female Reindeer Chihuahua. She's a great little dog,very friendly,and outdoor potty trained, with me picking up behind her always. If anyone brings police activity to the complex, they are asked to leave, and not invited back, as a precaution, to maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the property,which I and my kids, greatly appreciate.

I just dealt with the most rude woman on the phone and wouldn't stay at this place if it was free. Although I didn't stay there, I felt compelled to post a review based on the customer service.

I checked in last Friday and was told about Kids movie night FREE. My kids were so happy to get to see a free movie. Everyone there was so nice to my children and I. I was so happy my kids could have this. The property is quiet and clean for the first time in a year I feel safe.

i stayed here 10 years ago and what a change!! everything is so well maintained. This place looks like a paradise. What a difference from a long time ago. I feel at home here and i would recommend this oasis to only my most trustworthy friends. its so quiet and peaceful its like my own place. Everyone is very helpful that works here. my neighbors are all very respectful and quite. The rates are best in anything in o.c. And this place is very convenient. close to everything. My best advice is check it out and enjoy:)

I was a little nervous about checking into a motel after we lost our apartment but the place is beautiful. The grounds are nice, staff gives you many opportunities to get help if you need it. They had several groups from churches that helped entertain my kids so my husband and I could relax a bit. They have a food pantry which was helpful, especially when cash got low at the end of the month. Store was local, gas station, auto store, great place even if you don't have a car to get around. The price was very reasonable and I was surprised how great things went for me while I was staying there. I would return in the future.

After losing our home to foreclosure, my two kids and i stayed there, first night some guy tried to open our door at 4:00 in the morning....Something to think about women, it was clean but i still used our own sheets, blankets...As a temp place ok.

My fiance' and I live here and I am very pleased with it. We have never had any problems with anything. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are beautiful. I feel very comfortable living there....Its close to a grocery store and other stores that I can walk to. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to live or stay for any length of time....

After my hours were cut down at my job i needed another place for me and my son to live. I felt like i was down on my luck but after moving in to the El Dorado I felt welcome and cared for. The motel had many programs that helped me when money was tight and the property is beautiful. The rooms were clean and they helped get my son christmas presents. Im back to working full time now so i am saving up for that. Will be returning to my apartment as soon as his school is out for summer but would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice, fairly priced place to stay.

I have stayed here many times, it is my favorite motel, place looks great, rooms fantastic. Never seen one bug, they spray with pest control twice a month, love it.

WE MOVED HERE CAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO.. BIG MISTAKE!!! WE FOUND BED BUGS ON THE FIRST DAY AND MENTIONED IT TO THE STAFF ... WITHIN 2 HOURS WE WERE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY ... I'M A FATHER OF 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND THEY THREW US OUT ON THE STREET AT LAST MINUTES NOTICE WITH NOWHERE TO GO. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET EATEN ALIVE DO NOT STAY HERE AND DO NOT BRING ANY SMALL CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE AT ALL ALSO THEY ARE NOT UP TO DATE ON BUILDING CODES ... NOT EVEN A BATTERY IN THE SMOKE DETECTOR AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE PROPER OUTLETS IN THE KITCHEN AND BATHROOM ... SO BASICALLY A FIRE WAITING TO HAPPEN ... GOOD LUCK .. BE SAFE ..
