Unicorn Inn Motel, Portland

Overall this place wasn't bad at all. Was in town for a 6 week job. Stayed at another place down the street that was more expensive and not as nice. These rooms were large, free wi-fi, and everything was close by. If your looking for an extended stay at a good price this is the place to go. Not as nice as a Holiday Inn but it's about a third of the price.

This motel has the best rates in the area and is close to fast food and other restaurants, but I was a little uncomfortable with the guys on every corner with the homeless signs. The staff and service were good and they have some recently remodeled rooms but no fridge or microwave in the rooms I've stayed in. But like any other older motel it has it's draw backs. The 2nd & 3rd floors are very noisy and you can hear someone coming half way down the hall (floors creek alot). The walls are very thin and you can hear just about everything going on in the next room. When the rooms on either side shut their doors it sounds like they're shutting your front door. It's also noiser than most of the motels I've stayed in and I think that because of the location. I can it's just a matter of you get what you pay for.
