Flamingo Motel, Asbury Park

Staff was friendly and attentive to my needs after my long trip from New Delhi where I had just been released from prison after many years. I questioned why the familiar pink paint was gone from the exterior of the building? I thought pink was a favorite color of gays which have made Asbury their new home. Why would they not want to attract what could be a highly profitable market and repain the motel PINK!!. All in all it was still neat, clean and close to the beach. The air conditioning didn't work, but I am use to the hundred plus temps - being raised in a dessert. I didn't like the curry mint on my pillow though, but will make another trip to stay at the Famous (Pink) Flamingo in beautiful Asbury Park. ---Habib
