My 7 fishing friends and I stayed here and the staff was great, They went out of there way for us no matter what it was we needed. Tom the owner and Jonny the manger treated you as if they have know you forever. Heres just one example: I needed some laundry done one of the maids said she would take it home and have it for me the next morning, This is after she had worked all day. my laundry was in my room after returning from fishing that next day all neatly folded and all the shirts were hung up. The property was clean and well kept. Rooms were always clean and well kept by the on site staff. The bar and restaurant did the same. On our last day of fishing my buddies and I tied into a school of maui maui we brought back appox 75 lbs of fillet to the on site restaurant and the next night the staff fixed it all up 4 different way with all the fixings no charge we feed the whole staff and other guests. This is a great place to stay. It is clean, affordable and the service is OUTSTANDING. When you arrive, ask of Johnny, he will make your stay great and he will help you plan you time in Jaco. Use his suggested tours and activities, no one knows better than Johnny.

The owners Tom and Candie are great. Even though Jaco isn't the nices beach town in Costa Rica, your stay at Estrellamar will make you feel like you're in a different word. The cheif has excellent receipes. She was nice enough to prepare our fish that we caught deep sea fishing. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
