Breakdown and needed 4 stalls and 2 beds at 9 pm

We broke down at 9PM on the turnpike and through several phone calls were able to locate the Shamrock Ranch. Carol and Tim were super nice, and accomadating. We needed stalls for two yearling stallions and two race mares. The Stalls were large, safe and CLEAN. The bunkhouse was the cleanest place we have stayed in. Decorated in Western style with shelves of books, tv, kitchenette. A very nice continental breakfast was provided. Wish we had had time to fish the pond. Location was very good, close to town, quiet and very charming place. On our return we needed one stall and made a point of calling Carol to get one. She had one so we used her barn a second time, (The bunkhouse was occupied or we would have stayed there too.) It sure made the best of a bad situation and would recommend you to stay there. Kay&Walt

Even if you don't have horses, You'll love the ranch!

Shamrock's lovely location, scenic trails and charming bunkhouse combined with hosts who are genuinely intersted in their guests make Shamrock Ranch a great place to stay. We have boarded at the stable for a year, and our horse, along with all the other horses, is treated like royalty. The quality hay is plentiful, the water warmed in the winter, stalls have fans in the summer. The large indoor riding arena is beautifully maintained and a joy to use. I have boarded in Chicago, Chattanooga, Lincoln,Nebraska and Memphis. I have never seen such a clean barn, or known such concientious managers. All the guests we've seen pass through heartily agree--Shamrock is a delightful place to visit and an excellent place to board if you live in the area.
