Sandbridge Realty, Virginia Beach

We stayed at Dunes on Sandbridge rd the first full week of August. We had a week long stay. This was our first trip to Virginia Beach and probably our last. The cost for the condo was over $4000! We had several issues during our stay. Upon arrival, we noticed that the couch was broken. It was too late in the evening to get any assistance. They were also out of the office Sunday. We got ahold of them on Monday. Contractors came out on Tuesday. Couch was fixed but interupted our family time at the pool to let the contractors in the condo. The PARKING IS TERRIBLE!!! Our unit was lucky to have 2 assigned places. They were tight places! I had to let my passengers out before parking. My brother in law got a door ding on his brand new explorer! Guest spots were first come, first serve. We had to shuffle cars around all week to keep a guest spot. The return air in the hallway was filthy! Once again, family time was interupted to change an air filter. It could've been done on Saturday before we arrived. It should've been done! The grate over the filter was covered in dust and left that way after the filter was changed. I had to take the thing off and clean it. The pictures were deceiving. The view of the ocean from our balcony had power lines through it. Pool access appeared to come directly from our balcony.. it didn't. The pool was CROWDED! Speaking of the pool. Some shmuck had beer bottles around the pool Thursday evening. So the pool was closed until 1pm Friday. My 2 year old naps at 2 and it stated raining around 5. Friday was a waste as far as the pool goes. When you spend 4 grand for a week, you want everything to be right. Our stay was far from it. Sandbridge realty did nothing to compensate. Their "manager" was out of the office after 1 friday afternoon... Check out was at 10 am Saturday. That's pretty standard. However, they had cleaning crews coming around at 8:30! If i had spent half the money i probably wouldn't mind so much. Certainly not worth the money! Next time I'll drive a bit further to Myrtle beach and get a comparable condo for much less.

We had used Sandbridge Realty several years, in the last 20 +years. We went on family vacations every summer. We had good experiences until this year. We were set to go to the beach in June, and the day before we were to check in, our father passed away suddenly. It was a family vacation and he was also supposed to go. Due to this we had to cancel the trip to the beach. This is the first time we did not get trip insurance. Not only did we lose our money, Sandbridge realty refused to even give us any sort of discount for future trips. Sandbridge realty placed the blame on the owners of the house. They reported it was out of their hands, their was nothing they could do. They refused to refund even their cut/fee to us. Additionally, they could not give us any sort of credit or discount for future trips, even during off season for a long weekend! They have no sense of decency and I feel the way we were treated was absolutely inhumane!

My husband and i greatly enjoyed our first visit to Sandbridge last August. We stayed at No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem and it just couldn't have been more perfect for us! Loved the house! My thanks and appreciation to the owner and to Sandbridge Realty. I think due to family obligations and races we run in each year, we're going to have to be bi-annual visitors! See you next year!

We rented a vacation home BeachLuvin from Sandbridge Realty for a week and what a week we had. We loved having our own pool, but also loved being so close to the beach. My two boys also caught their first fish at the dock out back. My 86 year old Grandmother also came and has not stopped talking about how nice the place was and how much fun she had. This was our first time renting this way and it was great! Thank you for everything and we will be back next year!

We absolutely loved thsi condo...so much that we just booked it again for 2012! We ad our family of five (with three young kids) and the grandparents and there was more than enough space. The decor was beautiful, it was clean and having the two bunk beds is brilliant when the family we were vacationing with came over at night. The condo had all the amenities we needed and was jsut so comfortable. I can't say enough about sanbridge, and i can not say enough about this condo. We'll come back year after year as long as they will have us!

Location is great-close to the beach (easy walk) and our kids with their kids were able to have their own rooms (and be unheard: big +) with a large common area to gather and have fun. The pool is clean and a welcome time after the ocean. We caught fish and crabs ( 2 dozen in 40 minutes) off the dock. The outside wood on stairs and deck is pretty weathered, however it is a central place with a good location and comfortable accommodations (was for our family of 12).

The house we rented through Sandbridge Realty was perfect (our only issue was the grill ran out of gas and within an hour, Sandbridge Realty brought another tank. One of the bathroom tubs was very sluggish in draining,but everything else was perfect. We found Sandbridge Realty very easy to deal with and very professional.

Before booking Bay Treasure through Sandbridge Reality I read as many reviews as I could find resulting in a conclusion of mixed feelings. Now, after our visit I’m hopefully this review will help others in their decision. I think it is important to remember that Sandbridge is the middle man in the rental process. Maintenance and upkeep of the property is the owners responsibility, therefore I suggest visiting the property before signing an agreement to see for yourself if the property is suitable for you. Just like your hometown, property owners have varying degrees of upkeep. I found Bay Treasure to be clean on the inside (contracted by Sandbridge) however the outside needs to be powerwashed, and windows cleaned. If you see bugs on the outside….wait till evening. With the lights on they swarm, don’t worry during the day they go away. Bring your own outdoor chairs as the ones on the property are dirty or broken. The indoor pool was great, and clean. The house was designed for large gatherings, with 10 bedrooms and 7 ½ baths. The bedrooms are located in a way that activity in the house did not hamper privacy or a good night’s sleep. The oven, and third floor entertainment center need to be replaced, although neither interfered in our stay. Upon arrival the wireless internet did not work but after a call to Sandbridge, within a short time the cable co had it corrected. The bath light in the pool building was shorting, after an e-mail to Sandbridge a repairman was dispatched and fixture replaced the same day without anyone even knowing it had been done. From my first contact with Sandbridge to my dropping off the keys, I found them to be attentive and pleasant. Every e-mail was responded to, as was every phone call. I have nothing bad to say about them. Everyone in our group loved the house. It should be cleaned on the outside and old appliances should be replaced. I also personally made a 600 mile round trip to see the house in person to make this call. In a couple of words, It’s a rental. Oh by the way, we had an excellent time. Hope this helps.

The house we rented, Beach Magic was wonderful. The house was big. Loved the open space with the living room and the dining area. I also liked the balcony overlooking the dining area. The beds were comfortable as well. Right across the street from a public beach access. It was clean and I also loved the large TV in the living space. I also liked the balcony with a great view of the ocean. ( we were across the street from the beach) I liked the garage with all the surfboards and bugie boards and also floaties already in there. The only thing is the ping pong table in the garage needed to be replaced with a new one, but it was playable. Overall a great experience.

MY FAMILY OF 8, HAS ENJOYED THIS BEAUTIFUL RESORT SINCE 1997, SOME HOMES WERE WELL MAINTAINED AND OTHERS WERE NOT. COMPLAINTS TO SIEBERT REALTY WERE IGNORED AND SANDBRIDGE REALTY ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER. WE ARE NOW LOOKING TO RENT IN NC. THE BEACH IS GORGEOUS, BUT THE HOMES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE NOW. SANDBRIDGE BEACH-- WE BID YOU ADIEU YOU ARE FOREVER IN OUR DREAMS..............
