Bird's Nest Cottages, Eagle River

Our stay at the Bird's Nest was all we could ever hope for and more! Dave and Marge were friendly and welcomed us and our dogs with open arms! The beach was beautiful with sparklin, clear waters. The Cardinal was a cozy little cottage perfect for a mother and two teenage girls with their dogs! Marge, Dave and Pep(their dog) were like family by the time our stay was over! This was one vacation I'll never forget! The showers and other appliances were clean and in good condition, we were provided with the neccesary kitchen utensils. Over-all, Bird's Nest was the perfect rexaling stay! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to fish, swim, sun and relax in nature with friendly people!

The owner had a nasty attitude since we had so much luck fishing. Although we only caught the legal limit during our stay, he was very rude and disrespectful to my wife's grandfather who is 88, and one of the sweetest men I know. We ate everything we caught. I think he was just mad because he said he eats fish 3 days a week, himself. Guess this was going to encroch on his future catch. We threw many back and were always either at limit or below. He did sport an Obama sticker, so I this might explain some of his unreasonableness.
