Fontaine Log Cabin Rentals, Gatlinburg

I have never been treated so poorly by an establishment in my life. A reservation was made over the phone 4 hrs pryer to ariving. After ariving at the cabin, we walked in and found it to be full of bugs, only one bedroom for 4 people, and the phone was ringing. We told them we wanted 2 bedrooms but they never asked how many people we had. We answered the phone and they told us we had to come back down the mountain and pay for the two children......We told them it only had one bedroom and we were now not going to stay. They were very rude and told us there is no refunds. I had stayed at this place before but would never recomend it now....Looks like they have shut there doors now and did the public a favor.

I would give them a Zero-star rating at this point if I could. Beware. This company has closed it's door abruptly supposed due to health issues. While it is assumed some renters may have been contacted by the owners (Libby and Robert Vick) for alternate arrangements, it would appear that most have no insight as to what is going on with the owners, the business, or the renters' deposits, etc. As far as we can tell, Trees to Green Properties, LLC is the parent company or main LLC over Fontaine Cabin Rentals, Fontaine Reality, or Fontaine Cabin Rentals and Reality. Please also be advised that both Mountain Critter Lodge and The Castle on the Green are both owned by the Vicks (family); and both are currently for sale by Robert Vick as of today. Both of these properties were previously for rent through Fontaine Cabin Rentals as well. While I was able to contact Robert Vick a couple of times to discuss matters, I have not been able to successfully contact him since nor has he made any efforts to follow up with me as discussed. Because of the matter, I am now out of over $1100 in deposit money and it appears they have no attention of handling the matter ethically or professionally at this time. To file complaints, please contact the TREC (Tennessee Real Estate Commission) and the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Both appear to be aware of the situation at hand. Please also call Detective Hodges at the Sevier County Sheriff's Office (865-774-3933) as she is currently investigating the matter. Some local news has also published some articles on the matter so far with hopefully more to come.

This company closed the doors June 16, 2010 with no notification to people who rented their cabins and sent Fontaine deposit money. The cabin owners found out in a letter 3 days later. They will not respond to emails, answer the phone or return phone messages. Many people have lost their deposit money. Be glad if you are not one of them.
