The Richardson Hotel and Spa, Perth

A friend of ours recommended we stay at The Richardson for our Anniversary and I have to say, what a wonderful weekend we had. Dinner at Opus was wonderful and the staff were professional and attentive ... I felt like a queen! Definately go back again.

I would recommend The Richardson Hotel and Spa to any person who is thinking of either visiting Perth or, as was our case, looking for a luxury weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay the staff were friendly and only too happy to help with anything we needed. The food was fantastic and the rooms and guest facilities showcased why this hotel has a five star rating.

Located in the Business District of Perth, just one street back from Hay Streets cafes and eateries, stands this immaculate custom built 3 year old 5 Star Hotel. We booked into the Karri Suite, a plush two bedroom top floor suite with private north facing balcony, quality furniture, warm neutral decor offering a sophisticated, understated elegance, granite & timber kitchen, study area and comfortable sofas, the absolute 'best' bedroom pillows and sterile clean designer bathrooms. We were personally greeted and welcomed at the reception check-in by Hotel Manager, Andrew Farnfield. Upon arrival at our top floor suite, we were pleasantly surprised to see a 'welcome pack' including two massive cookies individually decorated with our daughters names on them. Highly effective, it is often these simple, small little things that demonstrate the care and 'wow factor' that made my young 3 & 6 year old daughters feel very special and welcome at The Richardson Hotel & Spa. All staff from the Porters who always parked our car, the frontline staff who greeted us by name throughout our 6 night stay, the restaurant staff who ensured 'nothing was too much trouble', made the stay most pleasant, relaxing, enjoyable and rewarding. Concierge ensured we were made aware of the 'latest events' occuring in Perth, recommended the perfect cafes and were always polite, diplomatic and totally professional. We took advantage of the pristine indoor swimming pool twice and the gymnasium once. Even the business centre, whilst private and compact, still allowed me the freedom to check emails anytime 24/7. Coffee was always offered by the Concierge. Without a doubt, The Richardson Hotel & Spa is Perths best luxury hotel. Its intimate size ensures individual custom care and attention. We highly recommend The Richardson Hotel & Spa.

We stayed at The Richardson two weeks ago enroute to Margaret River and the Kimberley's. It was a good location for us - between downtown and Subiaco - in a leafy residential / business district a bit like Belgravia. It's a small hotel - 74 rooms - and quite modern yet comfortable. The rooms were huge for a city hotel and really well equipped with full fridge, freezer and a fantastic private bar at very reasonable prices - a welcome change to the usual hotel rip-off pricing. Internet access was also free and they have voice over internet options so we could call home for hardly anything. Great bathrooms with shower, soft towels and some nice amenities. Service was great too - on arrival we had to give passport copies which we did not have to do in Sydney - the receptionist explained that it was done for security purposes which I can understand - there seemed to be some celebs staying but they would not say who. There were also some younger guests seemingly taking offence to this precaution - maybe good reason why they did not want to give it! Staff were fantastic - warm, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Their fine dining restaurant was also outstanding - apparently one of their chefs worked with Gordon Ramsey - the cooking was definitely up to standard without the verbal dialogue! If your going to Perth you won't find a better hotel - enjoy!

This is by far the best hotel in Perth, and I have seen or stayed in most. Spacious junior suite rooms, excellent private bar, courteous and professional staff, fantastic restaurant - don't miss it!
