Staff good, other guest bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/10
The hotel allows guests to smoke outside the main lobby entry door, one loser smoking a cigar can stink up the whole lobby. Pet regulations are not enforced, animals running at large, fighting in lobby, pissing & crapping in and around hotel. Breakfast buffet, although good (Free) is a battle amongst the guests, to small and under managed, some people just need supervision to makeup for their ignorance and lack of common decency.

Enjoyed our Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/10
Enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so helpful and courteous. The location was great. We like walking and could reach everything on foot except Fort Jackson. We had a great time. Slept well in a clean room. It was a joy to stay here.

Loved it!
By eric, 7/13/10
Stayed 3 nights and loved this hotel. Staff was wonderful and the Thursday Sundowner was great. Beds and room were clean and comfy and the location was fantastic for walking to River St area and even driving to Tybee. Parking is lean like the rest of Savannah but worth it. We WILL stay here again.

Loved it
By Bella, 4/19/10
We stayed here for 4 nights while on a short vacation-first time to Savannah. The staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean, cozy, affordable. Laundry room with free washer and dryer. Great breakfast in the morning-also free. Location-right across from River Street. Stop looking-stay here.

Memorable Experience in Southern Charm
By linda, 9/26/09
EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful to 2 northern women. We spent 6 nights and cannot say enough about our stay and the helpfulness of their staff. They were friendly and willing to give information or answer any questions. They offered us a book of the routes of the free bus service that is available in Savannah. Our concierge, Charlie made taxi arrangements to the airport when we left. Jamie, the nightshift desk clerk made sure my early-riser sister had coffee before the complementary breakfast was served. The availability of a free washer and drier was very helpful and let us pack lighter for more souvineers. You do need to provide detergent and drier sheets as none are available at the hotel. My only dislike was a floodlight outside our room that made the room brighter than I like to sleep. This light was only on for 2 of our 6 nights.

Our visit at the Staybridge in Savannah was so nice. Staff was wonderfully friendly, room was super clean and overlooked the street. I loved it! Hated to leave. It was time and money well spent and I recommend it highly.

okay but not great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/08
I hated the valet parking. You have to pull up on side of the sidewalk and get all your luggage out at once, then they take your car, and you are not allowed to go to it. You have to call for your car when you need it and they bring it up to the sidewalk for you, it feels rushed and stressful, like you have to hurry and get out of your car or get in your car, and get out of the way. They only have enough space for 2 or 3 cars to pull up. The staff was very friendly. This is a beautiful place if you like history, and a wonderful romantic place for couples. But as a single mother, I didn't feel it was a place for me and my kids, but more for newlyweds. Tybee Island was nice, not too crowded, and only about 20 minutes from downtown savannah. If I had it to do over again, I would get a room right outside of town, somewhere with parking so I could have access to my car. Staybridge suites, was okay, but alot smaller than I expected. Very crunched for 3 people. It looked very clean, but I seen small items in the floor next to the cabinets left behind by other guests, such as hairbows, razor covers, etc. which tells me they didn't do a very good job on the floors. Also the toilet looked clean, but you could feel the grime and stickyness if you rubbed your hand across it, like stuck on hairspray or something. I was not impressed with the cleaning that had been done. The wireless internet was awful. It took forever to log on and it kept knocking me off. I don't usually complain, but I definatly won't go back, the ONLY thing I liked about this stay was the friendlyness of the staff, and they did have a good breakfast. Another thing I was not told, is that my credit card was charged $12 a day for the valet parking. And I didn't choose valet parking, you just have to do it, because that's the only way, there is NO parking whatsoever.

Perfect! Very clean and light!

I loved the breakfast. I can't believe how much they gave. Waffle maker...need I say more?! The rooms were great. They overlooked the city and it was right by everything I wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely go back. Great value.
