Ocean Point Inn & Spa, Arch Cape

We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary at the Ocean Point Inn and could not have chosen a more perfect place. Our hosts were the most gracious and really made it difficult to leave. We stayed in the second floor king room with a comfortable sitting room, fantastic bed and an amazing view. My only regret is that Oregon isn't closer to Chicago/ making it easier to return for our 43rd anniversary.

We were very upset that our oceanfront unit, booked for our anniversary, faced a parking lot! In discussions with the manager, he admitted telling me at booking that it was an oceanfront unit, but then said "oceanfront doesn't mean ocean view" - showing a real lack of integrity. Also, he said the beach was "a mile" long, but we found the truly walkable sand beach to be about 1/4 mile - so we drove to Cannon Beach to walk. The room was well appointed, the breakfast was great, but I would never, ever spend that kind of money for an "oceanfront" unit without a view! (I checked with The Stephanie Inn and another hotel, both of whom said that "of course" oceanfront means ocean view!).

We were traveling up and down the West Coast and wanted to stay at different, cozy places. Upon arriving at OPI, we were a bit surprised; the cove was how we had pictured but not the inn. We stayed in a queen room with a fire place. As we were told on the phone, we did not have an ocean view. The room was modern and clean, with technology upgrades. We pictured the inn to be larger with more ammenities, but it was more like staying at someone's house. Everything was pleasant, but it was not our cup of tea.

My husband and I stayed last May for two nights, wish it had been longer! We still talk about returning and it's been almost a year and a half...The pictures looked great on their site, we knew that the location was good, the owners were so pleasant on the phone...it was even better than we had anticipated! Love it when that happens! Our room was perfect. The bathroom was great, wonderful shower, the bed comfy, there was even an ipod dock next to the bed. They did not miss a detail in the decor or functionality of our suite. The breakfast which was served in our room at the time that we chose was out of this world! I can almost still taste how good it was. What a true delight it all was.The location was perfect, we were right on the ocean with an excellent beach. It was close enough to the little towns there as well to shop, get dinner, etc. There were some nice galleries in Canon Beach. We HIGHLY reccomend The Ocean Point Inn!

We had a great time staying at the Ocean Point Inn and Spa for our 2nd year anniversary. The service was great and location couldn't have been any better. If you want a great place to stay and not around a lot of crowds, this is the place for you. The campfire on the beach was a lot of fun. I have already recommended this place to my sister and uncle. We will come back in a few years. Thanks for everything!

We wanted to get away to the Coast & experience the peacefullness on the ocean as well as stay in a modern, smooth, stylish room. OPI was a real find! Nice & remote, but still close enough to two beach towns for action. Great breakfast served in your room or outside looking at the ocean! Excellent hosts!

If you want a tricked out, contemporary place you can call your own, and have the ocean at your front door-this is the place. I felt as if I was at my best friend's home and it had all my creature comforts. An LCD TV, a huge bathroom with dual rain shower, fireplace, mini stainless 'fridge', microwave, leather chairs,candles-very romantic! A nice touch to have turn down service and the breakfast was nicely presented. I loved the patio, furnishings, and having the ocean just steps away. Do yourself a favor, if you can handle not having a pool and 24-hour room service, this place will make you want to go home and transfer your home into this vacation getaway. The innkeepers are available; but invisible. It's your friends home, but they have left it there for you to enjoy. No need to go to Hawaii, stay at O.P.I.

My husband and I stayed for three days at OPI in Unit #1 and we could not have been happier! The room was wonderful with thought put into every detail. The linens, fireplace, and rain showers were welcome amenities to return to every evening after a day on the beach or out shopping in the surrounding towns. The grounds were well cared for and the view of the oceanfront is outstanding! From the bonfires on the beach patio, the incense that magically appeared on the evening breeze, to the sumptious breakfasts in the morning, our every need was met by our hosts without intrusion or pretense. Our time at OPI was exciting, intimate, pampered, relaxing, and ended much too soon.

My husband and I made a detour to the Oregon coast as part of a trip to Seattle. What a wonderful respite. Just a few steps outside the door of our suite sat four colorful Adirondack chairs on a patio overlooking the Pacific. We read for hours and took long walks along the shore. The suite included everything we needed, including a gourmet breakfast delivered to our door in the morning. This inn has the feel of a quiet seaside neighborhood, the perfect place to unwind.

Managemant of the Ocean Point Inn would like to address two negative reiews posted on Yahoo. The Ocean Point Inn values all comments from guests by embracing the positive and learning and improving from those negative. We expect comments to be posted with accuracy and integrity. This instance is not the case, as the reviewer of "Awful - Don't Stay Here!" and "This didn't meet our expectations" is identifiable to the management and believed to be the same reviewer. Their reference to their dis-likes involve their full awareness and acceptance of our cancellation policies at the time the reservation was created. Our cancellation policy was relaxed to meet the needs of the situation requiring their last minute cancellation. While we handled this situation promptly, politely and courteously, we were not able to resolve it to their satisfaction. We would have hoped that this reviewer would have posted their discontent with Ocean Point Inn more accurately and with less misleading information.
