Men, take her to “Sabor a Pasion”
My wife, and probably your wife as well, has always wanted to stay at a Bed & Bedfast.
Let me translate, this means your wife would like a romantic weekend with you!
So, if you are like me, and you are not a great romantic and secretly fear disappointing your wife, (after all what would you do all weekend), then “Sabor a Pasion” is the perfect B & B setting for both of you.
Your day begins and ends in the serene woods of Palestine Texas being greeted and served by Renaissance Man Chef Simon Victor. Renaissance man, because he flies his own plane, has built a good majority of the B & B himself, planted a wine vineyard, and is a Gourmet Chef, all in one, a true, Renaissance man.
When we arrive, Chef Simon meets us at our car. He greets us with the debonair accent and charm of James Bond and the class of Paul Newman combined. My wife lights up!
I’m not threatened, let me explain, Chef Simon has been an In-Flight Executive Chef serving 1st class passengers on trans Atlantic flights from England to the States, as well as Executive Chef at some top hotels, so he’s been trained to be charming, not a threat.
To continue, he serves us a snack and coffee upon arrival, presents our options for dinner, shows us to our suite and we are off to ride the Polar Express Christmas train in our pajamas. Yes, our pajamas! [wardrobe theme from the movie] This is fun for both of us, doing something so care free.
Upon returning from our day, we freshen up and Simon presents dinner for us. Yes, presents! Everything is beautifully plated and is exceptionally delicious. Each bite explodes in my mouth with a multiplicity of flavors that are so unique to my taste buds and they are all working together. Each course delivers the same, especially dessert.
Simon engages us in conversation and my wife is just beaming! When we finish dining, she has been treated to a care free romantic day, served dinner by a charming and debonair Executive Chef and the mood has been set for the evening.
We retire to our room and have a wonderfully romantic evening. Chef Simon did all the work, and I reaped all the rewards!
The theme of this review is this men, take your wife to “Sabor a Pasion”!
