My son has had his RV at Lost Creek RV Park for the last four years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Don and Rita Heinze for the great care they have shown in taking care of my son. My son and many other students have lived at this park while they attended Tarleton State University. I have never had one of them tell me anything negative about the owners or complain about how they were treated. Don and Rita take pride in this park, and it shows. My son will be graduating this year and we will miss both of them. They have provided both a clean and safe environment for my son. I know that I have personally made phne calls to them to ask them to do a favor for me at the trailer so I would not have to drive there, and they have both done this graciously. The park, in my opinion, is as clean and well maintained today as it was, the day we first parked our trailer there. I know anytime I visit, the shop and laundry facility are spotless. I have read the negative reviews this park received and I am in question if they didn't get the parks confused. The park they wrote about is not the place where my son has lived for the last four years. I would highly recommend this park to anyone staying in the area.
We LOVED the attention to detail. The grounds were stunning! No pot holes, new trees planted, beautifully manicured walks and gardens, wide births, easy hook ups, quiet, friendly- we will definitely be back!
My husband and I have stayed at Lost Creek RV Park several times and we could not be more satisfied with our stay. The location of this park is perfect because it is close to town (less than 5 minutes away) but once you are in the park it is very quiet with a calm atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and hands-on. They are always available from the minute you pull in to help you park as well as assisting you with anything else you might need. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, beautiful RV park to spend a restful night, I highly recommend Lost Creek RV Park.
Lost Creek is well cared for and it shows . This is not our first visit to Lost Creek and we have been here this trip since September and plan to stay untill December. Mr & Mrs Hines have been very polite every since our first vist. They do have rules and we have never seen a problem here. Keep in mind that they have several college kids here the year round and are well behaved . I have read the negative reviews about Lost Creek and those folks were probably unhappy when they pulled in. Thier prices are in line with other parks that are this nice. We will continue to come back and stay with the Hines .
I am writting this to warn you not to bring your pets. There is no place to really take your dog. THe place they offer is full of stickers and ants. My dog got ate by ants and I had to take him to the vet due him been bitten so bad by them.
Now to the owners. Before I had came here to move in I asked the lady about month to month spots. She told me she had them and the prices. No problems she then asked me the size of my trailer. Still no problem. She then asked me the year and "if it was a nice looking trailer". They had a $3000 FEMA trailer in there park and they are worried about mine. My trailer is worth more than both there new vehicles combined. She profiled me before I had ever even moved in. That is not how you do business.
When I did move in the first thing out of the owners mouth to my wife was to make sure my dog stayed on a leash. My dog was next to her on a leash. I have seen many people here with out there dog on a leash that do not pick up after there dog. We have always pick up after our pets because we do not like it around our trailer, yet other people dont and we get blamed for it.
It seems to me that if your young and have pets dont come cause they are rude. I would suggest staying across the street.
I was un-pleased with my visit and I am only putting this in a nice way. My husband stopped by to inquire about month to month prices as we were going to be staying in Stephenville for a while. The campground owners asked questions that, to any other person would be offensive. They questioned him on the year of our camper, if it looked nice or if it was a not very well taken care of. I truly believe they were profiling him due to the fact that we are young. The campground owners were only friendly in order to get the business but eventually that changed. On our arrival the campground owner warned me that he did not want to see my dog off a leash and the entire time he was talking to me my dog was next to me on a leash. He warned my husband and I that we were to not make noise after 9 PM. We were constantly accused of not cleaning after owner dogs when I knew for a fact that I did. I can't stand the idea of stepping in my dogs mess. I had seen other pet owners allow their pets to make a mess on other peoples lawns and they did not pick up after them. Yet we were blamed for other peoples neglect. The washer machines don't work. It takes your money and you end up with Dirty clothes even after washing it twice. The internet and cell service is horrible it's in a valley and you will hardly get signal. Appearance is nice but soon after our arrival the lawn became infested with ants, the campground owner did nothing to address the issue, we had to take it upon ourselves to spray in order to get rid of the ant problem. Our dogs would get bit by ants or have stickers on their paws. I had to take my dogs to the vet due to the massive amount of ant bites they had. Its next to a highway so you will hear lots of road noise. If you need propane you have to drive to Dublin, Texas which is approximately 20-25 miles away. If you intend to have the worst time of your life come stay here. But I for warn you now that you will not have a good time and you will leave with a bad impression of southern hospitality and I am from the south and embarrassed of the way these people treat others especially young couples.
Stayed 4 nights, this is clean, quiet, easy in out even for coaches nice pull thrus, owners on site and nicest people one could hope for, take your satellite dish, well water is fine for washing what needs washing, i paid $26.00/nite, but for such a well kept place was excellent value and Stephenville/Hico fun to browse.
