Copper Top Inn, Guysville

We arrived at a prearranged time but no one was there to check us in or show us to our room. After about 30 minutes, someone showed up and took us to the room. We spent the day and evening in Athens and returned to the inn before midnight. We left a note with the time we would be down for breakfast. We wanted to clean up before bed, but there was no soap in the bathroom. So we had to wait until the next morning to bathe. The room was very nice. The views outside the windows are great. The porch is very comfortable and a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee. The breakfast was very good. The dogs were well behaved but the children were a little noisy. The sign off the road needs to be larger. We drove right past the entrance and never saw the sign. I think the price vs. value was a little high. We ave stayed at B&B's in New England that cost much less and offered much more.

Everything about this place is wonderful, except it's a little far to and from Ohio University, our destination for the weekend. All else is very comfortable and relaxing. The owners are very sweet and accommodating. The bed is comfortable,the furnishings homey, and the shower is strong. They also provide a full breakfast. All in all, a great experience!
