Hugh mistake, paid for cabin, then looked inside.
This was a mistake from the start. We we told there was a range for cooking, no range. The conditions were cleaner outside than inside. Left over food in the fridge from the last customers, the floor was not swept well, the beds were musty & lets not even talk about the bathroom conditions. From the pictures on the website, the neighbors were a distance off. Actually there was a rental camper 3-4 from from the one side of the cabin & another camper 10-12 on the other side. The website pictures offer no comparrison, to what actually was there.
We decided to leave 5 minutes after we looked into the cabin. We went back up to the front desk & asked the counter person for a refund. That is the owners job & she could not locate the owner. After 5 minutes or so, the owner called the counter person back. He is not a friendly chap. I explained the situation & told him I did not want to raise a fuss. I told him to keep the $25.00 deposite but I wanted the $470.00 back. He said no way. I am 37 years old & this is the first time in my life I have been motivated enough to write a review. First Time. I was hoping he would come to his senses, because bad news travels faster than good news. No such luck, now I have to get my lawyer involved just to get my money back. In Door County there are many great places to stay, AVOID THIS ONE UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CAMPER.
Sorry to vent.
