Gilroy Garlic Usa Rv Park, Gilroy

We stayed here for a few months in a fifth wheel and there is new management, however, this new team seems friendly,but you never see them. We come here every year and it has always been clean, it appears that no one does anything around here now, maintenance men are seen just driving around in the golf cart and it is just filthy! We will probably never come back here, also Bonnie the manager does not know what she is doing, we had friends come by here to stay and she was gone for the day and a new woman had just started and gave them wrong directions on which way to park their rigs and they hooked up and then had to unhook and turn the rig around, they were very unhappy about this! Also the woman could not figure out how to charge them for their propane and they were supposed to be given a refund and gave some cash and left the park on their way out, because she did not know what she was doing. Apparently this happened to someone else that was in front of them in line and they were not charged for their propane and was later called and said that they owed for propane and they had already paid their bill, this was overheard when they were standing in line and she was on the phone.. The woman behind the counter was frantic and very unprofessional. We were embarrassed that we recommended our friends to come here.

We have stayed at this park a couple of other times. In the past the rude manager made our stay almost unbearable, from check in to check out. Great news on this return visit. Louie is no longer working there. The weekend lady, Brit, was very pleasant and helpful. Such a nice change. We have hesitated to return but the location is so convenient that we tried to over look the nasty attitude of previous manager. We now look forward to many more visits to this park. Clean restrooms, pool and the wifi works just fine.

The park is clean at all times, they have several CHP and San Jose PD living there, I arrived and my wife and I have been through a few other local parks, I seen police units in the park and said to my wife this park is just like the other parks cops in and out, I asked a guest why all the cop cars in and out,she smiled and said they live here, and we asked around this park, It is more than we have ever expected of any park. the people who live here are all working and all sites are clean it is squared away, We are here fore 2 weeks and yes louie does watch for speeders and we met with him and we told him about the reveues on line, he said when people are asked to leave they attact me on the web, but that is what happens, My only concern is what i promise you and every guest a safe and clean park. Well we have been here now 10 days and it is what he promissed we called a friend and asked them to join us at a restraunt louie reffered us to. Tassos, it was great they are wonderful people and when we gave them a note from louie they gave us a free dessert. We can only recommend this park so highly to all travelers, we stayed here and nothing that we have read on the reveues even comes close to what this park offers, and yes if you come here drive the speed limit louie is looking out for everyone in the park, and met him he is a good person and the guest we have met have been comming here for a long time because he delivers what he says full hook ups clean and safe. P/S the internet is fast and is a T-1 system. The Traveles

I have stayed at this park three years in a row, just prior to the Garlic Festival. The first year 2007 was a great experience and the people were very nice. I did have a incident in which Lou yelled at me for driving too fast, but hey I wasn't paying attention and did drive a little fast, wasn't handled professional but I was wrong. In 2008 it was a rough start by their employee putting me in a monthly space which had cars parked in it and no one to move said cars. I was told to wait. Then after I was completely setup and my husband had left the site and I was at work, they called me and told me I would have to move because they made a mistake and put me in a monthly spot. Lou was very irritated and at first made it sound as if it was my fault. Then he came to my spot and apologized for the inconvenience and I was impressed that he was very professional and told me if I booked it for the following year he would put me in the same space and that way we would know that there wouldn't be any problems. I agreed and paid for a week, a full year in advance. I called to verify my reservation before driving down this year and the employee was very rude and said that they had my reservation but that I wouldn't be put in the spot promised and that no one there would promise me that. I called and talked to Lou about it and was told I was a liar and no one would ever promise me this. He also told me what are you calling for, do you have a problem. I said your not getting that spot. Upon arrival the little ----- that was working argued with me, called me a liar and told me if I was unhappy why don't I go find somewhere else to stay. All week long Lou would go by the trailer and stare if I was outside giving me dirty looks, while he was drinking. I was very uncomfortable and the other readers are right, it is no longer for travelers but for people who are living there in travel trailers. The spot I was promised sat empty all week. This guy has a problem, and I felt very unsafe being there. I will never stay there again. However it is a very clean facility.

I have been Motorhoming for over 40 Yrs now. and this was the Most unfriendly place I have ever stayed. I was screemed at for parking my car close to the laundry while caring my laundry in. I had a Update notice taped to the outside of my coach that kids can't ride bikes ext. (I don't have kids or a bike) in the hot sun it took close to an hour to clean off my RV. Bathrooms / Showers are closed 2+ hours each morning while they clean the pool. The dirt from plowing the fields & the papermill are unbarable. My Coach had never been so filthy. If You stay Bring lots of ant killer and use immediatly.

I have lived in this Park for over two year's and witnessed all the upgrades and hard work that Lou & Mary have made to the Park. You can spot Lou in his cart on a daily basis chasing down the violators, but never, have I seen him drunk or drinking while on duty. What I have seen is that Lou will not allow his park to revert to the old ways of the past management practice. Yes, I have seen him let people know that they will not speed in the park. As a patron of this park, I could not recommend a better place. Safe & Clean Wi/Fi works fine and its free. I recommend for this unsatisfied person to get on down the road, that's why we have wheels. This Park is almost full because of there hard work. You must have been speeding. I told Lou about this review and he warned me about my speeding. What a good guy :)

Louie the manager yells and runs after people if they drive at 7mph in a 5mph zone while he speeds around the park in his golf cart with a bottle of beer in his hand. I do agree the staff (other than Louie) are very friendly and polite. Unfortunately the RV park is turning into a trailer park with lots of workmens trucks and Harley bikes in the park spoiling the peace and quiet. Two thirds of the park must be monthly residents. The WiFi is really bad, so don't come here if you need it to stay in touch. Yes I do agree that the laundry room and most of the park is clean.

I have stayed @ this particular RV park, on & off for the past 3 years. In response to the previous review..I have never experienced ANYONE in management in an intoxicated state. It is a VERY clean and quiet park and the staff is polite and pleasant. The laundry and showers (in my observations) are cleaned a couple times per day. VERY CLEAN. The previous review sounds like a disgruntled tennant to me. The million $$ RIG person?? ..Coach is NOT spelled "coatch". A million dollar rig with a 2 cent education. hahaaa If you want a CLEAN,QUIET and over-all great camping experience, I can't recommened Gilroy Garlic USA RV PARK HIGHLY ENOUGH. The prices are competetive and that includes everything one needs to have an enjoyable vacation. I'll be returning, especially during Garlic Festival. They put on one FUN shin-dig.

The management is very rude. Probably because he drinks too much. He forgets what he tells people, and he lie's to make himself correct. One of the maintenance guys drinks to much and race's on of the golf carts around the park with kids on board. One of the other maintenance guys goes through every bag of garbage that you put into the dumpster. Also the park will trade work for your rent. I dont think that that is legal. The owners of the park are the owners of the Flames restaurant's in the San Jose area. They dont seem to mind about this kind of behavior. Go to a different rv park. Also, I have never seen a continental breakfast as they advertise.

Very windy almost evey day.Very very dusty,thanks to the paper plant that grinds recycled cardboard every night,just a block from the park.I have never dusted or washed so much dirt off my rv inside and out.The porter boy is spanish and is always digging through the dumpsters,we counted up to at least 12 to 15 times a day,tearing open every trashbag in the place.Could be searching for new social securty card ha ha.Wonder who pays him to do that,Oh thats us.We would not bring our high dollar coatch or bus the dust will be very noticeable,so will the porter digging through every dumpster all day.Just my 2 cents.
