2 stars at best . . .
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/11
This hotel deserves 2 stars at best. We were dissatisfied with the shuttle service (they forgot to pick us up at the airport even after we called for the shuttle - drove right past us!) and the free breakfast in the mornings is a joke! It is never replenished past 8 am so unless you're an early bird, you are stuck with very slim pickings. My daughter also left a scarf behind in the hotel room and I gave the hotel specific instructions to send the scarf back via Ground service . . however, the hotel ended up sending it back via Priority Express Overnight which cost us $58!! Just unbelievable!! I have tried to work with the hotel re: securing a refund (not just for the scarf but for the unacceptable stay) and I was told a refund would be issued, but it has not been and the manager has continually put me off. Very dissatisfactory experience!

Wow! Had a wonderful stay!! Coming back soon!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/09
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is beautiful and still has that new look & feel. It was very clean and the customer service was great! The free shuttle bus to & from the Airport was quick and so convenient. My 2nd day, I walked a few blocks and took the #7 train and was in NYC in less than 20 minutes! I am definitely coming back. Had lunch at the Magna restaurant (adjacent to the hotel) which was also great! I was happy their menu had a good variety. Everything looked so good I couldn't choose, so I came back for dinner! Delicious!! They're open for breakfast too. Next time I visit NY, I am staying here again!! PS I took a walk around the area and felt very safe. Lots of shopping could be done here. It is not run down, but I did notice 2 stores/buildings that could use some upkeep, they had "for sale" signs.

Great place to stay
My husband and I stayed there the weekend of March 15th. I read the previous reviews before deciding to stay. The previous reviews were accurate. The hotel was nice, it was clean, and the staff was courteous and responsive. The buffet style breakfast was very good as well. Although the surrounding neigborhood was "run down," the people in the neighborhood were peaceful. In addition, some type of nurses convention was held there. We felt comfortable walking to the local stores and the subway. We used the subway to go back and forth to Manhattan. We would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/08
My husband and I stayed one night and they are charged us for two nights. When I called for them to credit my account they charged me again. It is a week later and my account has been charged for three nights and I only stayed there one. This is ridiculous!

I was pleasantly surprised!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/07
I was a little skeptical at first when booking this hotel because I saw a couple of bad reviews about the condition of the hotel, the service and the location. I was a bit scared while driving to the hotel because the neighborhood is prodominantly Asian and from the way the businesses looked I didn't think the hotel would be much better. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when we pulled up. I was ready to act a fool if I didn't see a three star hotel, but it is a really nice building. The service was good and the room was really nice; a large atrium with double door closet, bathroom and microwave and fridge. There were two big windows and one had a view of some bridge in the distance. The king bed was soft and comfortable (my man didn't want to get out of it!). The complimentary hot breakfast was a modest one consisting of powdered eggs, turkey sausage, bagels and muffins, hot or cold cereal, fruit cup, or you can make yourself some waffles. My stay was really nice and the neighborhood turned out to be quite charming. I would definitely stay here again.
