The Lazy Trout Lodge, Island Park

I have never visited such a warm family oriented cabin/hotel in my many travels. The owner and staff was great. I loved my cozy cabin and breakfast delivered to my cabin fresh and hot. I loved it and will return on my next trip.

This lodge was the best one I stayed in a long time. The food in the restaurant was awesome home cookin And the staff made me feel like family. The rates are very resonable for the area and totally worth it. Lazy Trout Lodge is located right in the middle of everything to do in the Island Park Area and that was also very helpful. I will definately be back this winter with my friends and snowmobile's. I can't wait.

The cabins are very clean, private, and large. The lodge provides most of the items needed for you stay. If they do not have it, they make it a point to go out of there way to get it. The grounds are kept up and clean. The views from your cabin decks are breath taking. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and out going. The service is very prompt. The food in the restaurant is to die for. The food is home cooked food. I felt like I was at home during our stay at the Lazy Trout Lodge. I plan to make that my permanent place to stay when I travel to that area. Which is at least a few times a year. If you are looking for a clean great place with excellent customer service provided, this is the place to stay.

Staff was not helpfull. Cabins were nice size but towles were really hard and stiff and we called for new ones and they were not delivered for 2 hrs later.

Property is well groomed and clean. cabins was extremely clean and comfortable. remodeled with new furniture...traveled all summer and this lodging was the best we stayed from florida to yellowstone park. Owner and employees made us feel like family, extremly helpful. they invited us to enter thru kitchen, cleanest kitchen at all times. they take pride in cleaniness. we entered kitchen area several times unannounced and it was always shiny and clean..We had the best breakfast. Its is truly from Moms kitchen food. Best homemade salsa I ever tasted. true sausage gravy (homemade) best chicken fried steak. I would highly recommend Lazytrout Lodge.

It was an okay place. Cabins are old but clean. Beds are not comfy and the furniture is old. Great view and great front lawn area with fire pit and swing. Owners are helpful!

Had to wait 2 hrs for my reserved cabin. Room was dirty with hair still in the tub. New owners were very rude and did not care about my concerns. Restraunt food was cold. I will never stay here again now will I recomend to any of my friens or family.

We were extremely pleased with the Lazy Trout and it's accommodations. It is only 15 minutes from West Yellowstone and is in a beautiful part of the state of Idaho.The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough to make our stay the best. The rooms were large, quiet and immaculately clean. The beds comfortable. The small restaurant has delicious food--all made fresh and homemade--pie, soups, etc. We stayed for four days and had great fishing on Henry's Lake--large cutthroat trout. All in all a wonderful time.
