Admiral Bicknell Inn Bed and Breakfast, New Albany

This was our first visit to the Admiral Bicknell Inn, and it was fantastic!! The Inn was lovely, as was our room, the food was delicious, and the innkeepers were so warm and accomodating! We've stayed in many B & B's (all over the world), and this one "rates right up there" with the best! We can't wait to go back!!

We had the pleasure of staying in the Admiral Bicknell Suite which was very comfortable, uniquely decorated, and one of the best B&B rooms we have enjoyed in our travels. The breakfast was a delicious treat! Our hosts were also extremely helpful suggesting restaurants and local places of interest. We would definitely recommend this B&B to our friends and family. We will be back!

The house is beautiful and welcoming! My husband and I had a very relaxing peaceful getaway. Valla Ann was very friendly and helpful with things to see and places to eat. I would recommend this B&B to my friends & family.

The facility is beautiful, rooms very nice and comfy. We had a wonderful time in the pool and the owner couldn't have been nicer letting us stay even after we'd checked out. She was very nice and accomodating and made our stay special. I would highly recommend this B & B. New Albany, IN has many very nice restaurants and shops in the area now too. They are revitalizing the city and doing a very nice job of it.

My husband and I decided to stay for 2 nights. Our host, Vallanna was most gracious and pointed out fun places to eat, drink and listen to bands. We were not disappointed. The history of this house is most interesting. All the rooms are unique and we found this to be a great adventure. You are so close to Louisville that if you want to shop or see a show you are definitely close enough.

We went to the Admiral Bicknell Inn for a quick, Grownups-only trip from Louisville. What a wonderful place, and fantastic hostess! The home is beautiful and gorgeously renovated. Our room ( very top floor) was huge, with bunches of books and all the creaturte-comforts. We spent the afternnon relaxing by the beautiful pool, then had a fantastic dinner at Bank Street. Slept like babies in our comfortable bed. Restaurant- quality breakfast of belgian waffles with berries was served in the dining room and we enjoyed talking to the other couple and our hostess. VallaAnn is the consumate hostess-everything we needed was there, but we had a great deal of privacy for a romantic weekend. It was only 30 minutes away, we were only gone for 24 hours- but so incredibly relaxed we felt like we'd had a vacation! We will definitely do this again!

The Admiral Bicknell Inn is picturesque in its setting on Mansion Row in ithe historic/quaint river town of New Albany! It feels authentic and old - and that's a good thing, as we chose to go there because we love old homes - yet it has all the modern conveniences! Plus a pool! The up-dates and renovations to the property have enhanced its character! The furnishings and decor are beautiful and look like they could have been made just for that home! We were made to feel welcome by the owner and her staff. The food was unique and delicious: our suite was clean and plush and comfortable! Also, it was only a short walk to the banks of the beautiful Ohio River where we enjoyed watching barges and wildlife in a park-like setting. We had a wonderful time and will return next fall with some friends to experience the Harvest Homecoming Festival and our favorite B & B, The Admiral Bicknell Inn! A great value for a romantic, fun getaway!

Valla Ann was very welcoming and inviting, she showed us to our room, recommended some excellent places to dine and had a wonderful breakfast for us in the morning. We stayed one night in the Cupola Suite, it was beautiful and very clean, had everything we could have wanted. We did have to inquire the next day if the house/room was haunted because my husband and I both experienced a feeling of someone sitting down on the bed while we were sleeping. We were not scared, yet you certainily had a feeling you were not alone. Overall had a great experience and can't wait to go back, we are even encouraging our friends to go back with us!
