King Salmon Deaux Lodge, Soldotna

The fishing was great thanks to a local who showed us the ropes. Dont expect Capt, Matt or his brother to help or give you tips. We caught tons of fish. The issue we had was the lack of our fish on check out day. We had kept a tight tally and came up over 75 poounds short. We hiried our own guide for halibut. We paid him well to clean and skin our fish. We were very dissapointed when we got home and found skin on our halibut. Makes you wonder how long that had been at the bottom of the freezer. We brought these issues up to the owners and they never issued a apoligy or had a answer. The lodges were very comfortable and clean. The fishing was excellent if you new what you were doing. As I was raised in SC this is not the southern hospitality I am used.
