A place to sleep, that's it.

Advertised Free continental breakfast, newspaper and snacks, none of which was true. I asked for newspaper and was told no papers. Rooms very small but were clean. No place to put your clothes unless you pack all your own hangers. No ironing boards or irons. I had to get my own while there. They only give you 2 very small bottles of water.

Mediocre at best

The rooms are teeny tiny, the beds rock hard. The much-vaunted plasma TV in my room didn't work, and there was no continental breakfast. Worst of all, I was double-billed for my stay, and management refused to accept responsibility or make it right before I left.
 
 
 
 
 
Vacation Nightmare

Carlton advertised newly rennovated rooms but the furniture was very old. The room was very small and we would have had no place to put our luggage. In order to move around the room, we would have had to step on our luggage. The hotel is located in a poor section of Long Beach and not close to tourist attractions, gas or dining. We did not stay there and when we asked for a return of our money the owner refused and then lied saying we did not cancel.

why would you want to say at the holiday inn or whatever when you can stay at a hotel that is just like that for half the price? one of the cleanest hotels iv been in and has more things than most high end hotels. its just he name your paying for!!!!!
