Diamond Campgrounds, Woodland Park

This campground is mostly RVs, with many of the summer residents snowbirds who are there for long periods of time. Nevertheless, "transients" like us felt welcome. The campground has many trees and lots of shade. The spaces are relatively large. We rented a full-furnished trailer (think mobile home) which was a good deal. In early June at this elevation it was still pretty cold at night for tent camping, but we were able to have something close to the camping experience with a warm heated trailer and well-furnished kitchen. Cheaper than a motel room and more fun, too. I imagine we will go back again.
