We stayed in Cabin # 12, and I was very pleased. Nice sized cabin, with a beautiful view of the lake. The cabin had all the pots, pans, dishes and silverware that I could ever need. The cabins were well maintained, and very clean. Wood was provided for the fireplace in the cabin. The front office staff was extremely courteous, and very helpful. I also rented a boat from the Marina, and was treated with EXCELLENT customer service. The person that ran the Marina gave me pointers, and told me where to go to catch the big fish. I had a blast! I highly recommend the Mountain View Cabins/Eagle Nest Marina, and will definately be back!
Want to really catch some fish? Rent a boat with guide-- they usually know where fish are (though sometimes fish just aren't hungry).
Well maintained -- hey, it's a fishing and skiing cabin! A bit rustic is OK. Plainly appointed, garage sale dishes.... but nice stuff in a rental cabin gets ripped off.
Like Eastwood, it had good bad and well. Big difference between cabins, as I have stayed in 3 different, and wisited 2 others frequently. Value, it is good.
for ice fishing it is a great place for the old geazers to come and really enjoy ice fishing. Fishing is usually fantasticcit, and in the summer arrange for a craswfish boil or buy and diy, they are great, better than Lousiana. Yes I will return form time to time, but will be very specifit and recheck the reservation, concerning room selection every few weeks, in writing.......Dc & AC
$115 per night extraordinarily overpriced. Every aspect of this cabin was unclean and unmaintained. Carpet - disgusting. Plumbing - leaking faucets and inadequate hot water. Lighting - "dim" would be generous. Couches and chairs were uncleaned and the "springs were sprung." Beds - extra-soft and unlevel; we felt like we were rolling onto the floor all night long and we had not been drinking. BBQ outside - unclean and unsafe; brush was uncut and interfered with the burning surface, wire mesh was welded to the steel box, which was immovable and did not allow adjustment for cooking surface. Patio chairs - uncleaned and full of cobwebs. Entry door - complete with insects and spiders; door hinges had not been oiled. Odor - enclosed bedroom had obvious bacterial odor; perhaps from mold in ceilingl. Windows - broken glass in living area; all unclean. Lighting - inadequate and individually operated appliances; hence, VERY DARK AND DANK!
Beware when you make reservations! You go thinking you have a specific cabin reserved and when you get there they try to put you into a smaller cabin! Would have been OK if the cabin they tried to put us in was bigger than a dumpster and I hadn't specified a specific cabin when the reservations where made and confirmed......and we had to travel 6 hours before we found out about the switcheroo!
