Retreat to the Queen
By sarah, 5/17/12
The Queen Isabel Inn is such a wonderful place to retreat. Offering a bay front view, beautiful courtyard, pristine pool, and a nice large green between the pool and the docks. Boat owners, or renters, have the option of having their boat in one of the many boat slips on the property. It is always nice to be away from the chaos that South Padre Island sometimes offers. However, it is also close enough to enjoy the beach and all the other things that I want to do on the Island. This Historic Inn holds so much history and it is always a privilege to stay in such a phenomenal place with so much character. Every room is different, so whether you are looking for a small studio, or a large 2 bedroom, the Queen can accommodate you and your specific needs. The staff is wonderful and always takes such wonderful care of me and my family. I give the Queen five stars all around, and have no desire to stay anywhere else when I vacation in South Texas.

LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN
By Jan, 5/15/12
In my younger years I loved to go to South Padre Island but now I have found a little piece of heaven before you cross the bridge. This is a quaint little home away form home. You hae the most beautiful view of the bay and can look across to the island. It is such a peaceful place and they make you feel like part of the family.

WHAT A GEM WE FOUND
By ttocs, 5/15/12
I was very impressed with the warmth and beauty of this gem in Port Isabel. The decor in the lobby takes you back to the 1940's and the history we were told about was just lovely. We sat in the gazebo that is on the bay and enjoyed our morning coffee to see the sun come up. Next time I will bring my fishing pole and make use of docks. We will be visiting here again. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant that was next door.

Near and Dear to my Heart
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/28/11
This wonderful hotel brings back memories of when My parents were the managers of this place, It was a beautiful place before and after Hurricane Carla, and fortunatly did not get damaged then. I am pleased to see the old gal still standing and in good hands rlsandlin55@yahoo.com

this place was worth it
By mongo2, 6/19/10
we were there for a wedding on the vernal equinox, which also is spring break weekend. the Queen was a great place for us oldsters and didn't have a lot of "breakers" or other noisemakers around. excellent access to the bridge to cross over to the island and a nice restaurant next door, and another 1 or 2 within easy walking. will stay there again, on any trip that way.

HAD A GREAT TIME
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/4/07
We stayed over Labor Day weekend and had a blast. We will never stay anywhere else! The owners were very nice and made sure we were comfortable. They had a nice function by the pool for all the guests Saturday evening. We met lots of great people and left the hotel feeling like we had made new friends. I can't say enough great things! Our bags are already packed for another weekend!
