Overpriced and Rude
By sue, 12/18/11
This is a pretty campground with its cute cabins, but if you don't watch yourself, and your kids, and your animals the way the owner wants you to Ann the owner will kick you out and not refund your money and that wasn't us it was someone else in the park that we observed wasn't doing anything wrong.. The price of this park is way over priced it can cost you as much as 50.00 for one night. She watchs every move you make. They said they had a restuarant at this campground, all it is, is a couple of tables and all they have on the menu is pizza and barbaque and finger food that is over priced.

A Great Place to GO
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/11
This was our 5th year for the BMS August race. This campgoround goes out of its way to make race fans enjoy their stay. Food prices that stay consistant and a staff willing to provide transportation to and from the track. One of the best hidden treasures we have found, "THANK YOU ANN and TEAM"

Sad the season came to an end
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/11
We loved the activities and special events during our Halloween stay. My kids had a great time at the halloween monster mash party, and the ponies were one of my daughters favorite activities. We hate to see this camping season end, but we look forward to the Easter bunny activities next spring. Thank you KOA staff for all you did for the kids this past summer.

Love the new owners
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/11
We camped over the Halloween Weekend with our 4 grandchildren and had a fantastic time. The owner of the park participated in activities that were kid friendly and allowed us to sit back and watch them all have fun. The ribs from the restaurant were the BEST, they even delivered to our site! We will be back. If we could we would give them 6 stars

Not KID friendly.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/11
The owner/manager Anne was horribly rude. Making small kids cry was totally uncalled for. Closed down the bathrooms and shower for 24 hours and blamed our party for backing the thing up. According to the roto-rooter man the line was full of roots. She of course didn't offer to refund any money. One of the cabins our party rented was full of ants. Anne accused this family of bringing the ants with them and charged them for one night even though they left after 3 hours and went to a hotel. I should say our party consisted of 44 people. We were a travel baseball team in the USSSA world series in Kingsport. Our boys being 10 and 11 years old aren't perfect and were playing tag on the jumping pillow. She closed it down for our boys even after they were stopped from doing it. Even after we were leaving she told one of our coaches she was going to charge us for using the pavillion and a tent site. She said she had a whole bunch of credit card numbers and she was going to charge somebody. My favorite though was when she charged $5.00 for the 2 kids swimming in her pool that had to leave because there were ants in there cabin. If you really like the smell of skunk spray you will love that outdoor nature smell here also. Apparently the one running around the campsite lives under one of the cabins. Its one of the resorts pets, so don't get upset if the inside of your cabin smells less than perfect.

Not so nice

The place was very well maintained. The Owners were very rude and were always trying to wheel and deal.

A great place for the family
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/08
I loved this Camp Ground. Thecampsite's are very clean and well maintaned. They even have 2 fenced in area's for the dogs to play. The best part of the campground is the events for the children. The crafts are very nice and the children love them. The owner's of the caground are very nice and work to ensure everything is perfect for your stay. My grandchildren have already stated they want to go back in the spring. The bathouse was very clean. My husband and I stayed a month every morning and afternoon the owner checked on his horses and feed them. He takes great pride in his horses and if you go on a trail ride will see how much he loves them. They are taken good care of. The owner's wife took her Saturday and went with the Children Trick or Treating. You can tell from watching her she loves children and people. They also have several people who work at the campground who are very nice and ensure everything is safe and clean You can tell they LOVE what they do. A great team, and they make you feel welcome. I look forward to going back often. GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Don't stay here...
By Beth, 3/21/08
Overpriced (literally double the norm - $4.50 for a quart of milk). Cabins/lodges were filthy, bathrooms dingy. Their "monthly" section looks like the projects in NYC. They seem to be more concerned with their dollar intake than satisfying the customer. Sites are outdated (very few 50 amp hookups) and you have to try and figure out which water is yours and pray that your sewer doesn't back up. They have horses on the premises that don't appear to be fed enough and the pasture has no grass and is scattered with maneur. Their propane filling station looks like it's been there since the 50's and is about ready to fall off its foundation. After speaking with some of their employees, I found they can only work for their site - no additional income. The owner was rude and nasty and has absolutely no people skills. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.
