Disappointed...................
We have stayed in several B and Bs over the years. We were very disappointed. We did visit in the winter, so couldn't really enjoy the sitting areas on the porch etc but our room was a real downer. We would have been pretty off at the Holiday Inn and it would've been cheaper. Our room was SMALL. We knew the bath tub and sink were located in the room but certainly expected the room to be bigger and the furnishings left alot to be desired. The head board was a make shift headboard and wasn't even connected to the bed. The house just seemed cluttered. The front room was set up for dinnerrs, teas etc with long tables and chairs and apparently it is left set up that way. Our breakfast was wonderful and very delicious. BUT at other B&Bs when you and another couple eat at the same time you are at seperate tables. There was ONE table and we ate with strangers right across the table like you would in a family kitchen. Kind of uncomfortable and not very initimate or romantic. Plus the rules and replacement fees. We were terrified we would ruin something and have to pay for it. I mean they listed replacement prices on the check in agreement even for towels and washcloths! Very SMALL TV in the room, no DVD. The "library" consisted of mostly cookbooks. The guests pantry was nicely stocked. No heat in the room, a little portable heater. I'm sure if it was the first time you stayed at a B&B you probably would think it's oK but having stayed at more than a dozen, it was not up to par with what we are used to.
