Disgusting. Dangerous. Do not stay here.

This was hands-down the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel or motel. I came into town with a friend and we booked a room for the night with a rather grumpy and stand-offish man at the front desk. Aside from being filthy, the room had no lock on the door and the door barely closed -- it appeared someone had broken-in and no one had bothered to fix it. After we informed the man at the desk that we would like a different room, he threw a fit and eventually gave us a new room after arguing with us for 5 minutes. This room was dirtier than the first and there were large, rather obvious blood-stains on the sheets and what appeared to be either tar or black paint. We decided to leave after the manager decided that we would have to settle for the blood-stained room or nothing. He would not give us a refund or even consider that we did not want to sleep in sheets that had been soaked in someone else's blood.
What a horrid place this is.
I spend a lot of time on the road. I've stayed in about 50 motels and hotels over the past year. This was far and away the worst. Bar none. Dirty rooms. Disgusting sheets. Poor security (a major issue as it's in a questionable neighborhood). The management is rude, impatient and incredibly disrespectful. Clearly only cares about making a buck from unsuspecting travelers. Do not stay at the Royal Motor Inn.
