WARNING.....DO NOT STAY HERE...WARNING!!!!! I gave this place the lowet possible rating..i would go lower but there isn't a rating category for "Disgusting and a health hazard".
This was by far the worst place I have ever seen! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The owners are completly INSANE slum lords looking for any nickle they can find. You would think this place would be a laid back beach motel..WRONG. The owners are EXTREMELY UPTIGHT weirdos looking to yell at you for any perceived infraction. Why would the owner dress in brown maintenace clothes when its evident NO maintenace has ever been done to this place. The guy just sits in his golf cart and stares at you..very creepy. The stairs are wobbly due to loose nails and cracked boards, the window mechanisms are rusted and broken, the furniture and the brown shag carpets are stained, decrepit and full of mildew, there are no picures or decorations on the walls. The TV's are late 1970's models, but there is cable.... but only two stations, I can't explain it. There is no AC and the fan in the room was extremely loud, I was going to call the front desk and get a new fan but there is no phone in the room. I walked to the office to get a new fan but the office was closed, but then again why would the office be open past 5pm on July 4th weekend...silly me. Saturday morning at 6:45 AM I was startled awake by the sounds of clanking bottles and cans. I look outside and the owner is waist deep in the dumpster retrieving cans and bottles for the nickle deposit. The coffee maker was broken and it flooded the kitchen (the carafe is not the right size for this model coffee maker). We came back from the beach to find our neighbors smoking pot on the shared balcony. Real cute. We went out to dinner and returned to find the same neighbor smoking pot again and there were empties everywhere. The bathroom in this place is bad. I did like the cinder block walls painted an institutional green, thats a nice touch..oh and the bare walls in the main room with cracked and chipped paint are adorable. Don't look for an outdoor grill to cook food as there is only one for the entire motel and it appears to be a rusted out trash incinerator. There is no "path to the beach" unless u want to fight your way through thorns and bushes. U have to use the road to get to the beach. There are no picnic tables, there are no outdoor showers unless you count the one next to the maintenance table and the dumptster. But thats where the weirdo owner hangs out. There is no clear view of the ocean unless maybe you are standing on the roof of the building. There is no natural ocean breeze to cool you at night becuase u can't open the rusted and rotting windows. PLEASE if you have kids do not stay here as it would be very dangerous for them...protruding rusty nails, unsecured stairs, and old balcony railings that are clearly unsafe.
DON'T STAY HERE!!! WARNING!!! If you want a clear depiction of this place rent the movie "Vacancy".
The only good thing is the location and the staff. Right on Nauset Beach, this place has such potential. The staff where great, very helpful, especially Lee the motel manager, but I felt bad for him as it was obvious that the owner (who lives on the property) doesn't give a crap about the place. It is very run down and the rooms themselves are very dated. If you liked 60's then this is the motel for you. The room we rented had 30+ year old shag carpets and a worn and stained bathroom floor. Although the rooms were very clean, the dated and decrepit furniture spoiled an other wise great vacation. Get out while you can Lee! You deserve better guy!
