Panther Mountain Inn, Chestertown

The only real problem we had was getting locked out, unable to re- enter the Inn ,only having your room key. After 11PM the Main Door is locked,using your Room Key wasn't an option! It got very COLD waiting most of the early morning to get back to the room! It's under new ownership, maybe they Changed the room key's so that you can Enter the Inn! The buzzer response was ignored? Everything else was acceptable.

This is an old, dusty, musty, hotel. There are strange smells in the whole structure. The cooking smells from the basement pub permeate the entire building and they are not at all pleasant. There is nothing in the town except a gas station and a bank. The hotel is in the middle of the town rather than in a country setting. I couldn't wait to leave.

Panther Mountain Inn was a great place to go! We've been there a couple times in the winter and it was fabulous. There was a ski mt. (Gore) that we went to, and it was located ina beautiful lIttle town with nice stores and diners. I wopuld definitely go there again!
