A gem of a place--terrific find!

My family and I stumbled upon the Pine Tree Motel and Cabins while traveling through the Adirondacks on our way home from Montreal. To say the place was charming and the service friendly is simply not to say enough.
The owners are very welcoming, treating you like long lost family as they show you to your immaculate and cozy room. With two kids far apart in ages (19 and 10) it's often difficult to find some place that both are enthused about---this is such a place.
The food surrounding the place is excellent; Loon Lake is lovely, quiet and serene-- not nearly as "touristy" as surrounding lakes. We enjoyed a camp fire under a star filled sky. We had great family time as well as the opportunity to make new friends. After the long car ride our youngest really appreciated the playground behind the hotel and we appreciated being able to sit back and relax in comfortable Adirondack chairs while she played.
The rooms are cozy, knotty pine, well appointed with every requirement including a fridge. The TV was great with lots of channels, beds were comfy with crisp clean linens, bathroom decent size and spotless. Even the morning coffee was delicious--and we're coffee snobs!
One of our favorite features is the fact that you're close to all the tourist traps if you want to venture there but you've got serenity and natural beauty all around you without the noisy hustle and bustle when you want to just chill out.
We will most certainly be back and will recommend this little gem of a spot to anyone traveling up or down the eastern edge of the park. We travel quite a bit and this is one of the nicest places we’ve found! The owners obviously take great pride in their establishment and are very eager assist you with ideas to make your trip memorable. Terrific place, and very gracious hosts!
