It's our back-up lodging when we can't stay closer to Mystic Seaport
The best feature of this lodging is IT'S QUIET. The exit road coming off the highway is not lit, but the traveller stays on that road to the end (about 1 mile), I think, it's a left turn & you're there. It's an older motel (built, maybe 1960's), but it's clean, well maintained, has full-size kitchen, a recliner. The caretaker lives on property, so if there's a problem, even a late check-in, they accommodate. It's a bit further than we prefer when visiting Mystic Seaport, but, since Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun openend, lodging can cost "an arm & a leg". We've stayed there twice & will stay there again, if necessary. If an extended stay is needed, the in-room kitchen is nice feature.
