Orchard Inn, Bird in Hand

We were guests at the orchard inn from july 20-22 2007 and must tell you that this place is just a little piece of heaven!!!!. The property sits facing the rolling farmlands of Lancaster County,Pennsylvania.The location is off the beaten path, so it is very quiet and peacefull. All you hear is the clip-clop of a passing horse and buggy and the sounds of the local farm creatures. The air is so clean and crisp!!!!. As for the motel itself It is about 35 years in age, but extreamly clean and comfortable. The rooms are done in a country motif, with beds that are like sleeping on a cloud and great for your back!!!. The bathrooms have tubs with a shower, also very clean. All rooms have either recliners or glider rockers in which to sit if you dont want to relax on your bed. The front desk staff is so nice and helpful. There is a complete continential breakfast in the morning with all sorts of goodies. The inn is located near all lancaster attractions, restaurants and shopping,but yet a world away. Take a chair on the front lawn of this little piece of heaven and gaze at the landscape which is Lancaster county
