I wasn't expecting the motel to be really nice since I just wanted someplace cheap to stay. It wasn't terrible and it was clean and smelled fine. I mean, the sheets weren't fitted and came off the mattress as soon as I tried to get into the bed, but it was a place to sleep and I was happy with that.
And then we had an unexpected visitor at five o'clock in the morning. Our door was locked, we were asleep, and, no joke, someone opened the door, walked in, realized that the room was occupied by a half-asleep but sufficiently freaked out couple, and left again. I know that the place is family owned, which is great, but the family who has the keys to all of the rooms should probably check to see which rooms have people in them before they walk in and scare their guests very early in the morning. That really isn't okay. At least knock or something?
Needless to say, I will not be staying here again, even though I was initially happy with the room itself and the price. If you're staying here, definitely put the latch over the lock on the door before you go to bed.
