Great Oak Landing Lodge, Chestertown

Glad we only stayed for one night over labor day weekend. The whole place is in need of a serious upgrade. Rooms look like something from the 1970's or before. While the bathroom appears to have been redone, the rest was not. The room was a 'waterview', meaning if you really looked you could see the water. Also, all the waterview rooms get to listen to the music from the outdoor bar until about 1 am. The pool was a lovely shade of green and the hot tub / spa was broken and empty. We did not eat at the restaurant after checking the menu. It was very expensive and very limited. Forget about any breakfast, they only serve a bruch. So you really out of luck if you get up early. The closest place for breakfast is Rock Hall or Chestertown. We opted to go to Rock Hall ( only about a 15 - 20 minute drive) for dinner. And the next day we went to Rock Hall. For the money check out Chestertown or Rock Hall about the same price. You would think a 'lodge' at the yacht harbor would be better. Could be a great location.
