Oceanview Inn, Emerald Isle

The room was clean tub could have been a little cleaner. No bed bugs no roaches short walk to beach and pier walking distance to wings and other stores and restaurant good for the money I would stay there again .nothing fancy we only used the room to sleep and shower in we were on vacation we were out and about . Staff was nice. Had fridge and microwave and blow dryer tv the fan in the bathroom did not work.

We've stayed here for years because of the convenience to the fishing pier and beach. You can see the pier house from the room, so I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't think that it's close enough to walk too! Rooms are always neat and clean. We are talking about a bare minimum room, but I've never found the pills and filth described by other people. This is a fishing motel, most of the people who stay here are here to fish. Anytime we come to Emerald Isle, we stay here!

It was a short walk to the beach and pier. Clean except the coffee pot and one towel. AC worked good. Decent for the money. I'd stay again.

Bathroom reciently re-done but mold on shower curtain.Too small to even turn around in, A/C worked great , but the room smelled like MOLD! Bedspread and sheets had cigarette burns! The lamp over the bed was rusty. You had to slam door open and closed! The staff was very friendly but we wanted to leave a day early was told they would NOT credit our credit card. Charged for ICE!! Would not recommend to anyone. The location was close to the pier , where we wanted to spend our time, however Not close enough to walk! I will Never go back ! and I learned not to pay a head of my stay.

I checked into the room, dust was an inch thick on the dresser, had to go to the store to by stuff just to clean the bathroom, found pills on the floor, i guess they let druggies stay here. The people at the front desk were very rude and had a terrible odor. Would never allow myself or any of my friends ever go to this place again.

The bathroom was terrible. Mildew and soap scum on bath tub. Something spattered on the back of bathroom door. Ball of tissue paper on floor when we arrived. Reported this to office and ask that it be cleaned thoroughly. It looked the same when we returned. Coffee pot was filthy.

No dislikes at all....... Everything was great with the folks that run the place No doubt at all ~ it is a ~ a FIVE star rating all the way Just spent a week there............plan on going back with-in a month...

We got in about 2 am, rang the bell, and checked in. The staff were very friendly and accomdating even at that hour. The housekeeper was extrememly friendly. The room was clean. You can walk to the pier, beach, shops, and restaurants. Parking is not a problem. For the value and location you cannot beat this hotel.

A group of us traveled through Emerald Isle, got in about 11:30, rang the bell a few times to wake the guy up. Noticed the parking lot was full of construction vehicles, so i knew it was cheap. Parking lot attached to the Pier parking lot so after we got our room and strolled out to the beach, then back to the room and crashed. Woke up without a shower and out by 6. Girl in our group said the room smelled like pee, the bathrooms were dirty, but as far as i know she got some sleep. So, in other words, this place is what it is...if you need a place to crash...

The owners are very nice. I have stayed there for the past 10 years. I go 2-3 times a year.The rooms are very clean and you have everything you need. You can walk to whatever you need, eat, shop, fish. The people that work for them are very nice also. They talk to you like you are a friend not a costumer. i would recomend this place to anyone I know.
