Hershey Highmeadow Campground, Hummelstown

The freight railroad rolled through all night. Very loud and scary!! If possible get a site to the right of the main entrance as you enter. I can't see it muffling the noise that much.

My kids loved it and we had so much fun the staff was such an amazing help! Jared & Brittany helped out with our resevations for next year and made it a very easy process. I would recommend this campgroung to all of my friends & Family!

Just returned from Hershey Highmeadow Campground over a holiday weekend. This is a busy campground with tent campers to RV's. We usually prefer a quieter campground, but this trip was specifically for a visit to Hershey Park. The service was great, check in personnel very friendly, store well stocked, and the grounds very clean. Sites on the small side, but not bad. The pools were wonderful, bathrooms maintained very well and things quieted down by 9-10:00pm. Not to forget the freight trains that run all day and night, we had no issues with the noise. We specifically reserved early for a site as far away as possible from the tracks and I'm glad we did! Took only a few minutes to the park by car and our pooch stayed in the kennel at the park. No frills, but it was also clean and air conditioned so she survived just fine. We traveled with 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. Stayed in a tent trailer. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and we would return--making reservations well in advance.
