Bay Harbor Lodge, Key Largo

Close by to markets, restaurants & recreation. Tables, chairs and grills are near each room. Peaceful, tropical setting. Older woman in registration office was very very nasty and full of complaints. She was the most unhelpful, grumpy, miserable check in representative we've ever encountered. Her poor attitude colored our entire stay. Overall cleaninless is acceptable. Just don't use their dishware. We watched a cleaning woman wipe a drinking glass with a white towel (a used guest towel - hope not), drop the towel in the dirt and then resume wiping the glass with the same towel - yuck! Last night there, nearby guests had a very loud party outside their & our room, which lasted well into the early morning hours. No one from the lodge attempted to rein in the sound levels from their bellowing. Even Ms grumpy registration lady, was nowhere to be found to deal with the partiers and their sound level. Guessing she needed her sleep to grump at other new guests the next day.
