We loved the property, the lake and the Villas and apartments are ideal for a short term stay or permanant residence. We understand that the majority of the units have been converted to long term rentals. We were very glad to hear this. Cant wait to retire and go back to the Lodge. This time we are going to stay, hopefully for ever. We love the thought of retiring at the Hillcrest Lodge. Steve Campbell the owner really has a good vision for the place and follows through with promises. I would recommend the Hillcrest Lodge to anyone. ITS GREAT!!!

WONDERFUL LOVED IT!!!!

This place was perfect, visited from texas and i must say i will be back!!1 the view was beautiful as well as the people, Steven Campbell was a wonderful host, and did everything he promised!!! Sincerely Faith!!

The best perch anywhere!

We discovered Hillcrest about a year ago...and just keep coming back for more great food. Fridays are busy, so we try to get there on Tuesdays or Saturdays. We love the broasted chicken, but the perch is still the best!!!

a nightmare

we moved into a furnishe apartmet owned by hillcrestlodge,aprox. 9-1-10. The apartment was furnished. After being her about a week,i developed a bed rash. At first we notified the owner&thought it was sand flea bites. But it continued to worsen. Upon inspection we found bed bugs in th couch&in the bed.we informed the owner,who insisted he had the place inspected. Yet,we called the health department who had no record of th place ever being inspected. Our case continues,th rash&bites cotinue. we ae moving,but have no intention of takin these pests wih us,&with the help of the health department,we intend to make the owner live up to his responsibilities.

Best summer vacation.

We have a family vacation here every year. Since the new owners took over the place has been getting better and better.Can't wait to go back this year and see what is new! Bass fishing is great, and there are many trophies to be had! The beach area keeps on getting better, also. Owners are very helpful and receptive to new ideas and comments.

perfect location- love this place

Loved it!! Had a wondefull time. The villas are perfectly located right on the water. The boat ramp has just been redone and is in great shape-by far the best ramp on crooked lake and the staff was very helpfull. The rooms have been remodeled and are very clean. cant wait to go back- thank you. hillcrest lodge.

We had a great time!

Our Bass Club had a great time. The service that was given was outstanding! The staff was very receptive to our special needs, such as a 5AM breakfast buffet for a good price. The location was tops, right by the water on Crooked Lake! The bass fishing was good, no trophies, but enough action to keep you excited about your next cast. Probably had something to do with a little excessive wind. The accommodations were satisfactory. The manager informed us that they were in the process of first cleaning up and repairing the grounds and outside facilities. Then, they planned on refurbishing the units with some paint, furniture and appliances. We will be back again in October 09 and look forward to seeing the staff, the work/improvements they have done and doing some great fishing! Tight Lines All!
