I stayed at the White Oaks Inn this past weekend for Mule Day. The house was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. The owners (both husband and wife) were extremely friendly and courteous. She cooked an amazing breakfast with fruit salad, cheese grits, breakfast casserole and yummy biscuits. They were both very knowledgeable of the area and were able to tell me how to skirt around town and get to the places I wanted to see. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The front porch swing was very large and relaxing. I could have slept on the swing! The cost was very reasonable! I would definitely recommend this place and am hoping to take my parents with me next year!!
First of all, let me say that the place was absolutely beautiful and super clean. I walked around barefooted all weekend and never felt a drop of dust or dirt. It is owned by a husband and wife, and the husband is very sweet and helpful, and the lady was the rudest person I have ever met. Winfield Alabama is not that big of a town and I'd be glad that people even found that Inn in a small town and would treat them a lot better. It's really a shame because the place is so beautiful, and breakfast was wonderful, but again, the lady that runs the place was just very rude to several of the people in our group. She greeted us at the door by blessing out her husband to us and all she did was complain. She seems really miserable running the place, I would be too, but I don't run that kind of business for that very reason. If you ever wanted to take photographs at this house, it's ideal, but I'd never stay there overnight again. 5 star inn, with half a star customer service.
