Hostel Lao, La Rioja

too many years travelling mean too many dodgy hostels and too much hype! I'd heard so much about Hostel Lao b4 i arrived that I was waiting to be let down! Not at all. This is the best hostel I've seen in 6 years of travelling(not wasted years!) The reasons are endless; nice rooms, real beds, very secure lockers and a guests and invited guests only door policy, hammocks strung around a stunning garden with a pool, big comfy lounges that make it possible to meet people or chill out on your own as there's loads of space, run by great people who are making the place better all the time, everything is clean, interesting travellers go there who do more than get drunk all day and night, they have a cool dog, the double rooms are outstanding, its like a luxury hostel thats not up itself!, cotton sheets!, great breaky, great location in the middle of the city but not surrounded by touristy places so you can get a feel for the real mendoza, free wine and generally a pretty much perfect everything else!
