Kelebek Pension is a family-run pension in the heart of the historical center of Ayvalik at the Aegean coast of Turkey with view to Greece. We serve our breakfast with the marvellous view over the Ayvalik bay. We offer 24 hours hot water, spotlessly clean rooms and a typical turkish breakfast. All rooms have private shower / wc.Lesvos the Greek Island is easy to reach by ferry - with a 1 1/2 hours trip.Ayvalik has 1800 houses in the neo-classical style and 22 churches and monasteries left from the 'Greek times' of the city. The bay is surrounded with 24 little islets. The biggest island Cunda is ideal for evening trips and dinners, easy to reach by boat or bus.Many restaurants and pubs are easily to find by a 1-minute walk. Every Thursday there is a big market in Ayvalik.Our gitar, telescope and little library are for free use. We exchange books.In Ayvalik you can do:diving, pottery, bird-watching, fishing, walking through the olive groves, join boat trips to the island. Visit the ancient cities: Troja, Pergamon, Assos and ren. Visit Lesvos, the Greek Island with ferry boat just 1 1/2 hrs.Ayvalik is surrounded with 22 islands has a national park with 750 known wild flowers. As its known for its olive, you will find many olive oil dishes in the restaurant. Another income source is fishing, so you will find many fish dishes as well.Surrounded with olive groves and pine tree forest it`s the ideal place for a vacation far away from the mass tourism.
