Tutotel, Luxor

The hotel is good for those on a tight budget but be wary of housekeeping staff. Most people I came into contact with were fairly pleasant but I found that my toilet paper often went missing and on one occassion both my own and another customer's airconditioning was turned off with the expectation that we would end up tipping the staff who sorted it out. Fortunately I caught a worker in the middle of turning mine off and had to shout at him to get him to turn it back on. Also, don't have high expectations about the pool or roof terrace both need a bit of work. If you intend sending postcards don't use the hotel postbox as they won't ever get to their intended destination - there is a 'normal' box a 5 min walk away. Although the restuarant doesn't serve Egyptian meals which was disappointing, there are lots of nearby traditional restaurants and cafes that do Other than that it's ok for a budget hotel.
