I grew up in Bandera, and this guest ranch is a fine example of 'country life'! They are very friendly and it is a wonderful place to stay.

Wish We Were There Right Now!

Outstanding place! Such beautiful scenery. Extremely well trained and behaved horses. Bountiful wildlife and relaxing country atmosphere. Friendly people and inviting rooms. Not for the negative thinker or wet blankets. Leave whatever misery or preconceived notion of having a bad time at the bottom of the driveway. It was such a positive and uplifting experience. It's rare that we have such a feeling of belonging on a vacation. Leave the drama of the city behind and you will have the time of your life! We already have plans to go back.

Why the West is fun

Very friendly, laid back atmosphere. The right horse was selected for me and I got to ride him for my whole stay.I had never been on a horse before, but Terry and Nick made me feel relaxed. The food was great and the manager took me to town to shop and show me around when it was raining too hard for riding.Can't wait to return.

Terrible Service

Terrible service, unfriendly managers, advertise "all you can eat" but immediately limit to only one of this or two of that to have enough to feed staff members. Staff stands there and watches you eat. Staff hurries guests to eat so that staff can eat. Too expensive for what you get. Would not return. Checked out early, no refund given. Advertised "tubing in the river" but only took us once to tube. Save your money and go to another ranch nearby that has good reviews. The only thing to do is swim in their very small swimming pool.

Bad service, made us feel uncomfortable, advertise "all you can eat" but limit to only one of this or two of that to have enough to feed staff members. Managers not friendly at all. Cost way too much for what was received. Would not return. Left early, no refund given.

Bad Service

We stayed here recently. The manager was terrible. Not friendly at all! I can't even count how many times we were talked about behind our backs by the ranch hands. They were more worried about feeding themselves than their guests limiting people to one of this or one of that at meals times so that they had enough to feed their staff. One of their staff even went as far as to say she was mad because at one sitting, she didn't get any cheesecake because it was all gone before she got to eat. I would not stay here again and not recommend it to anyone. We left early because of the terrible service with no refund at all offered. I hope they enjoy their tip.
