Fantastic family vacation
This idyllic spot is an hour or so's adventurous drive from Quepos airport in the mountains by the Rio Savegre. We visited with our 2 young kids for a 4-night stay and it was the perfect adventure. Accomodations are in luxury African safari tents mounted on a wooden platform. We enjoyed comfortable beds, big showers and great views from our shady porch. It's a small and friendly place where you'll get to know everyone there in a short time. Lautjie is a fabulous guide and has a super team of local folks to support him. We especially enjoyed the Class II/III rafting and the evening frog-and-bug-spotting hikes. While there we saw toucans, aracaris, poison-dart frogs, leafcutter ants, tiger herons, iguanas, basilisk lizards, egrets, ibis, short-nosed vine snakes, 6" katydids, praying mantis, slaty-tailed trogons and many more.
